Governance that lets you go faster.

AI policies, committee advisory, and ongoing counsel for organisations that want to adopt AI without putting the board in a difficult position.

What it is

We write AI policies. We chair AI committees. We sit in on board and leadership meetings where AI decisions need a trusted voice in the room.

Most organisations we work with are cautious about AI, and rightly so. A single poorly governed rollout can cost more in reputation than the savings were ever worth. Our job is to make governance the thing that lets you move faster, not the thing that stops you.

What we do

AI policy drafting

From scratch or in response to an existing draft. We write policies that are readable, enforceable, and sector-aware. The package usually includes the primary AI policy, an organisation-wide data classification table, and an AI Tools Register.

AI committee chairing

On an interim or ongoing basis. We run the meeting, keep it on topic, and make sure the right decisions get made.

Board training

Tailored sessions for boards on AI opportunities, risks, and governance responsibilities. Usually one or two sessions, refreshed annually as the landscape moves.

Board and leadership advisory

Available for one-off sessions, quarterly retainers, or embedded engagements.

Incident response and review

When something goes wrong, or almost does, and you need a calm outside head to work out what to do next.

Why clients choose us

  • We've written policies for education, government, association, and finance clients. We arrive with context.
  • We aren't lawyers and we aren't replacing yours. We work alongside legal counsel to produce policies that are both safe and actually useful.
  • We stay for the hard conversations, not just the easy ones.

A recent example

A TAFE engaged us to draft an AI policy for staff and student use. The previous version was three pages of blanket restrictions that nobody could work with. We wrote a new policy in plain language, with clear dos and don'ts, approved use cases, and an escalation path. It passed the board in one sitting and has since been adopted as a template by two sister institutions.
